Engineers
An engineer has the skills of a technician, with added proficiency in
network operating systems such as Microsoft Windows NT/2000 and Novell
Netware. An engineer can assist with the deployment of single server environments,
development and implementation of network security, backup strategies
and/or integration with desktop software and hardware.
Senior Engineers
A senior engineer brings added experience in multi-server, multi-network
operating system environments. Additional skills include general implementation
and troubleshooting of wide area networks as well as email, fax, firewall,
virtual private network (VPN) services, internet access, and thin client
technologies.
Enterprise Engineers
The enterprise engineer has the added fluency in network communications,
wide area networking, local area networking (corporate backbone) design,
implementation and troubleshooting. They have the ability to integrate
Microsoft Windows or Novell environments into host-based environments
such as AS400 and RS6000. They are adept with diverse solutions for corporate
email, fax, firewall, VPN, Internet access, thin client, and telephony.
